Short Vowels & Word Families

This Smartboard Activity/Lesson enables K-2  students to identify, read, and write short vowel words through word family word wheels. This file includes:objectives,  core content standards implemented, and five interactive templates with 20 word families using short vowels. Students will be able to create one syllables words by adding an initial consonants to word families /a, e, I, o, u,/. Your students touch and drag word families and consonants to form new words and then write their new words. Your students will enjoy the circus theme.
