The product includes a monthly calendar, objectives, Common Core State Standards, and recommended Mentor Texts.

      In this unit of study, you’ll build on your students’ knowledge of the narrative writing process as they work to plan, draft, revise and edit small moment stories from their lives The unit launches the second grade year with two main goals in mind: first, to reinforce the skills and strategies students have already learned in order to write with focus and detail; and second, to get students to write with greater meaning and craft through the guidance of mentor texts.
